What to Watch on Philo this Weekend: October 22nd, 2021-October 24th, 2021

The calendar hasn’t hit Thanksgiving yet, and we’re only days away from Halloween, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start rocking around the Christmas tree a little early! Philo is here to help you enjoy getting into the fun and cozy holiday spirit. So put on those fuzzy slippers, grab your warmest blanket, and sip some cocoa—it’s time to get into a festive mood with our round-up of feel-good holiday movies! And if you’re a bit of a grinch, we included a couple of not-so-jolly picks just for you. Here’s what’s coming up on Philo this weekend:

Friday, October 22nd

This holiday season is kicking off with a bang with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Christmas In My Heart. When Beth, a talented concert violinist, tutors the daughter of a famous but evasive music star, they connect through the healing power of music and possibly, love. Catch the movie premiere, starring Heather Hemmens and Luke Macfarlane, on Oct. 22nd at 10/9c.

Looking for even more Christmas movies to binge? The Hallmark Channel comes bearing gifts with their Countdown to Christmas event. Watch the first holiday movie premiere, You, Me & The Christmas Trees, Oct. 22nd at 8/7c. Danica McKellar and Benjamin Ayres star in this romantic film about evergreen tree experts who team up with a Christmas tree farmer to get to the bottom of a mysterious illness that’s threatening this year’s crop. Hallmark Channel’s special holiday event will be debuting new holiday movies every week from now until December 20th.

Saturday, October 23rd

On The Dead Files, medium Amy Allan and retired NYPD detective Steve DiSchiavi team up to combine their eccentric and at times contradicting skill sets to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across the United States. Catch a new episode on Oct. 23rd at 10/9c on The Travel Channel.

Switched Before Birth tells the story of two women’s journey with in vitro fertilization whose paths intersect when one of them accidentally becomes implanted with the other’s child. Watch the Lifetime movie premiere on Oct. 23rd at 8/7c with Philo.

Sunday, October 24th

When Emma’s boss steals her idea for their magazine cover story, she searches for a miracle to write about the magic of Christmas. Along the way, she teams up with the handsome staff photographer and an unexpected romance begins to blossom. Tune in to A Christmas Miracle, starring Tamera Mowry-Housley and Brooks Darnell, on Oct. 24th at 10a/9c on the Hallmark Channel.
