If you haven’t been watching writer, director, actor Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, you’ve been missing out! Season 4 of the Paramount series premiered this past Sunday to a huge audience!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Episode one drew 8.38 million viewers — the second largest audience for an entertainment series on any broadcast or cable outlet so far this season, behind only the season premiere of CBS’ NCIS (8.45 million). Yellowstone also drew the biggest same-day audience for any cable scripted series in almost four years, since an episode of The Walking Dead in November 2017.”

At Philo, many of you tuned in to the two hour premiere live. In fact, it was the top watched show in several places close to the setting where the series takes place, including:

Billings, Butte, Bozeman, Helena, and Great Falls, Montana, Casper and Cheyenne, Wyoming, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls, Idaho.

Yellowstone also captured the hearts of those of you in mid-sized cities including Denver, Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, Portland (OR) and Tulsa; and Philo viewers from Abilene, Amarillo, Boise, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Evansville, Laredo, Lexington, Louisville, Lubbock, Topeka, and Wichita also had more viewers than most other places around the country.

But if you haven’t discovered Yellowstone yet, don’t worry, you can do so on Philo! Just hit the save button (+) on the show profile and the series will record every episode that airs. Season 3 is currently available on demand, and seasons 1 and 2 will air on November 25th and 26th, so you can catch up over Thanksgiving weekend.

Yellowstone, airing since June 2018, is headlined by Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, Costner’s John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Dutton’s property is in constant conflict with those it borders — an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park. Yellowstone also features actors Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, and Josh Holloway, in main roles.

Not only is Yellowstone, a fantastic watch — full of beautiful cinematography — but it also has heart-pumping suspenseful scenes and characters with depth, humor, and grit.

Both episodes of the two part season premiere “Half the Money” and “Phantom Pain” are available “on demand” on Philo now! And remember to catch episode 3 this Sunday, Nov 14th at 5pm PT/8pm ET.

And for those looking to catch up on all the latest from Yellowstone, a Labor Day 2022 marathon will allow you to catch seasons 1-4!
