We have some exciting news for everyone out there who watches Philo on an iPhone or iPad.
First off, the Philo iOS app (version 2.5) now supports Picture in Picture (PiP) mode! This means you can keep watching Philo while doing other things on your device at the same time, like checking your email, reading a news story in your browser, or using other apps. You can now multitask to your heart’s content without having to interrupt your favorite shows.
While watching Philo, simply tap the Home button on your iPhone or iPad to enter Picture in Picture. The Philo video window will shrink to a thumbnail-size window in the corner of your screen. From there, you’re free to use other apps while the video plays. You can even move the video window around to a different corner of your screen if needed. See our Help Center for more details.
We also know there may be times when you’ve started watching Philo on your small iPhone or iPad screen and feel like “moving” the show to your bigger screen TV. Well, you’re in luck, because you can now do that with AirPlay! Streaming Philo to your Apple TV or Roku using AirPlay is an easy way to wirelessly “cast” what you’re watching on your device to a compatible TV. See our Help Center for more details.
Let us know what you think and stay tuned, we’re always making updates and improvements for your favorite devices!
