Attention fans of nostalgia TV and female-led drama! Starting today on Philo, you can view some of the best classic sitcoms in TV history, as well as enjoy shows featuring the top female leading characters in popular scripted TV dramas. Philo has added two new channels: DECADES and Start TV. We are always looking for new content to bring to our Philo community, and we hope you’ll love these channels as much as we already do. There’s no extra cost; both DECADES and Start TV are now included as part of your existing Philo base package.

The DECADES Network is a TV and pop culture time capsule. Through daily classic television comedy, talk and variety series, DECADES invites viewers to relive, remember and relate. Highlights include The Dick Cavett Show featuring interviews of the 20th century’s most compelling personalities and newsmakers, and The Carol Burnett Show with laugh-out-loud hilarious sketch comedy and big-name Hollywood guest stars.

Sitcom fans can check out “Television Across the DECADES” showcasing TV’s best comedies across the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, including I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Bob Newhart Show, The Donna Reed Show, and more. Weeknights “Smartcoms Through the DECADES” spotlights long-running, popular series such as Cheers, Taxi, WKRP in Cincinnati, Get Smart, and The Honeymooners, among other favorites. And on weekends, The DECADES Binge presents a single TV series for two full days from a deep library of TV favorites spanning all TV genres.

We’re also thrilled to add Start TV to the Philo lineup.

Start TV is the first and only TV network dedicated to scripted dramas featuring strong, successful women in diverse and compelling roles, augmented with inspiring stories of real women sharing how they got their “Starts” in business, facing life challenges, and experiencing personal reinvention. Popular shows include The Closer, The Good Wife, Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, Medium, Any Day Now, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, In Plain Sight, Unforgettable, Ghost Whisperer, and Touched by An Angel. In addition, original My Start Story vignettes air daily and, through participant’s real-life experiences, encourage others how to start, persevere, and succeed.

You can find all these shows and more in the Philo Guide. Don’t forget to save your favorites today and let us know what your favorite classic sitcoms or favorite female-led dramas are by posting on our social channel! Happy viewing!
