Whether you go BIG for spooky season, or you’re just counting down the days ‘til Christmas, we’ll make sure you have TV shows and movies to keep you entertained. And this October, we’ve got scores of scares, and plenty of other high-quality shows. Take a look at TV shows, movies and marathons that are coming to Philo this October. 


Halloween: Sure, sometimes you may not have time to set aside for an entire marathon. But, in October, you’re going to have ALL the opportunities to binge Halloween. The classic horror movie franchise plays on AMC five different times in October, so you and Michael Myers can really get well acquainted – no strings, or knives, attached.

Final Destination: Embark on a heart-racing marathon of the Final Destination series, where death is not just inevitable, but ingeniously inventive! Each film offers a thrilling roller coaster of elaborate and chillingly creative demise sequences, as characters dodge the Grim Reaper’s relentless pursuit, only to find that cheating fate is a deadly game of cosmic cat-and-mouse.

Friday The 13th: Embark on a spine-chilling marathon of the Friday the 13th series, where Jason Voorhees turns Camp Crystal Lake into a nightmare landscape. Hockey mask on, he relentlessly hunts his prey across each installment, creating a tension-filled atmosphere of fear and survival. Watch out, the shadows have never been darker.

Countdown to Christmas: Gore and jump scares not your vibe? Hallmark Channel saves the day! Get ready for a whole new slate of Christmas movies. A new movie airs each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on Hallmark Channel, beginning on October 20. The list includes Checkin’ It Twice, Where Are You, Christmas?, Under the Christmas Sky, Christmas By Design, Mystic Christmas, and Joyeux Noel.

Catfish: The TV Show: Nēv, Kamie, and special guests are serving up freshly caught Catfish as they journey through the dark waters of the internet to peel back the digital masks of scammers, lovers, and liars.

Boss Moves with Rasheeda: The Philo exclusive season 2 finale is here! Rasheeda and her girls Toya Johnson-Rushing, Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Shamea Morton, Yandy Smith-Harris, and Eboni Elektra tap into their goddess energy with a fun and sexy dance class. Later, they’ll sit down for a candid conversation about friendship and the importance of having a supportive sisterhood.

Basketball Wives LA & Orlando: Basketball Wives LA comes back for its 11th season, while Basketball Wives Orlando makes its TV debut! Familiar faces are back in LA. Christie, Bailey, and Williams make a comeback. Lozada rejoined as a regular member of the cast, featuring new faces such as Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth, and Clayanna Warthen. And in Orlando, the cast includes Ashley Snell, Danielle Miller, Lyndzie Marble, Mackenzie Hyatt, Mehgan James, Morgan Bledsoe, Mulan Hernandez, Nique Brown, and Nikki Nicole

BET Hip Hop Awards: What better way to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop? The annual awards show showcasing hip hop performers, producers and music video directors is back! Who will take home top awards this season? J. Cole had six nominations. Coi Leray, GloRilla, and Jay-Z are tied at five nods each. Other notable nominations include Lil Uzi Vert, with four nominations, rounding out with DaBaby, Kendrick Lamar, Latto, Lil Durk, Megan Thee Stallion, and Metro Boomin, scoring three nominations each

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: The finale of the Walking Dead spinoff is coming! How will Daryl Dixon’s foray into Paris and his ultimate plan come to an end?

Tyler Perry’s The Oval: The season 5 begins when Victoria concocts a different plan when Hunter faces a perilous situation, while Bobby bears the brunt of Priscilla’s animosity towards Sam. How will the explosive relationship between the President, First lady, and First children play out this season?

Tyler Perry’s Sistas: The midseason premiere of Season 6 is almost here. Andi, Karen, Danni, Sabrina, and Fatima remain united through thick and thin: experiencing relationship ups and downs, peaks and valleys in their careers, dubious dealings, and all the nuances in between.

Love & Hip Hop Miami: Season 5 in the 305 comes to a close! The docu-soap will see how the tales of Trick Daddy, The Diamond Princess’ Trina, Amara La Negra, Jojo Zarur, Christopher Michael Harty and his rival DJ Michelle Pooch, and Miami street legend Gunplay, play out.

Rosemary’s Baby: The 55th anniversary of the classic horror film is here! An unsuspecting Rosemary Woodhouse experiences a sinister pregnancy, shrouded in mystery and unsettling events, after moving into a building with an eerie history and peculiar neighbors.
